What is Planned Giving? A Planned Gift is any gift, made in lifetime or at death, as a part of your overall financial and/or estate planning. If you are given the choice of writing a check to “Uncle Sam” or writing a check to your favorite charity, what would you choose? Most people write the check to “Uncle Sam” because no one shows them that with some planning, they can make a different choice.
